Pownology has extensive experience with the design of switch mode power supplies. Numerous SMPS, PWM types like Buck, Boost, Flyback and resonant types like LLC, have been designed, build en tested. Pownology has detailed knowledge of control loop design, magnetic design (also integrated magnetics) and EMC.

Pownology designed several prototypes of resonant power supplies for LCD TV backlighting, ranging from 26” to 42”. These designs were appreciated for their efficiency, EMC friendliness and low cost. Pownology also worked on very efficient class D amplifiers (kW range). Thanks to a special, ultra fast, gate drive circuit, very low distortion values were achieved.

Pownology is also specialized in high performance (low noise and/or high bandwidth) amplifier and measurement equipment design.
